Getting Started

It is not the time spent in school that matters, it's the quality of the education. Here at Wildfire Education, we prioritize a high quality and well rounded education. Everyone learns in different ways and at different paces. It is a struggle to find the right program for your student. The first step we take is to schedule a consultation with the parent(s) and student(s) in order to gain a better understanding of the needs of the family. The priorities of the family are taken into high consideration when we research possible homeschool/online programs. Which is the next step. We send you a "homeschool portfolio" containing your information and details about possible programs that meet your requirements. The goal is to save you some time and give you a little more piece of mind in your decision to homeschool. Next, we schedule another meeting to go over the portfolio and discuss your options. Once you have made your selection, we help you in the transition to homeschool from getting started to assistance throughout the school year.

Education Guidance

Wildfire Education recognizes the need for guidance in homeschool students. Parents are not always available to give the assistance their student needs to learn. Our program offers students the teacher element they still require to complete their work. A trained teacher or advisor is available to monitor student's work and assist them in their learning. Students are pushed to use strategies that best fit their learning abilities. WE support parents in their role as teacher/parent and answer their questions. It is a heavy load and we aim to lighten that load. Students can seek help with their schoolwork by coming into the office or scheduling a virtual meeting. We strive to be a resource for students to use in order to gain a better understanding of the material they are required to learn. We help students understand how they work and learn to increase productivity now and in the future. Time is the one thing we can never get back, so why waste it?

Life Skills

At Wildfire Education, we help students prepare for their adult lives. Students keep a budget, maintain part-time jobs, and are offered additional courses to prepare for the future. Some options are business, agriculture, money management, and essentials needed for their adult lives (ex: taxes, bill paying). We believe in students developing the skills and know-how to conquer adult responsibilities is a step towards success.

Career Planning

With the goal of ensuring a successful future, Wildfire Education strives to prepare students for future careers. An advisor helps students plan for their future by managing college visits, business tours, and potential mentors to help students discover their passion. Students evaluate their skills, interests, and future goals to help them find the right path.

Tutoring:

We have many tutoring options as well as flexible hours. We have after school appointments available for K-12. College and homeschool students can make their appointments fit into their schedule. We offer in person, virtal and private tutoring. While math is our biggest request, we are able to help in a variety of subjects.

2024-2025:

In Person: K-6th- $25/hr 7th-12th-$30 College-$35/hr

Virtual: $35/hr

Private Tutoring (Guaranteed 1 on 1): $40/hr

Small group (3+ working on same subject/assignment): $10/student/hr

Cancellation Policy:

Prior to 1 week: 0%

Less than 1 Week: 10%

Day of: 30%

Reschedule for within the same week: 0%

A lot of work goes into fitting everyone into the schedule. We would appreciate knowing ahead of time if you will not be making a tutoring appointment so that we may assist other students during that time. Percentages are based off of the rates on the left.

Proofreading:

Perfect your papers and writing skills. We can help you with the writng process as well as proofread your papers to help you earn a better grade. Writing papers is a huge part of high school and college education. It is also highly stressful for most students. Students can schedule a tutoring appointment to get help working on a paper or can select one of our proofreading options.

Proofreading with Comments: $5/page

Proofreading with Corrections: $10/page

2nd Reading: $2/page

Studying and Note Taking:

Have a test coming up that you need to do well on? Enlist us to help you get the grade you need. We can help you get organized, create a study guide, and use studying strategies to remember the material. Taking notes is key to getting the material that you need down. Schedule a tutoring appointment asap so you are ready for your next test.

Letters and Resumes

We have a lot of experience in writing and reading letters and resumes. Whether you are applying for a job, a scholarship or an organizational office, we can help you reach your goal. Providing a well written letter, presenting an appealing resume, and acing the interview are key. Contact us for an appointment and pricing.
